Is everything in this universe just pure energy?

What is energy?

According to Wikipedia the definition is: "a scalar physical quantity, an attribute of objects and systems that is conserved in nature. In physics textbooks energy is often defined as the ability to do work or to generate heat."

"Conserved in nature" would also mean conserved in the universe. Nature is part of the universe.

Is the universe then made up of different energies?

In his book A Happy Pocket Full of Money David Cameron says:

"Science shows us that everything is made up of energy and exchanges that with everything else at all times in a most complex way. It is the building block of all matter. The same energy that composes your flesh is the same one that composes the bricks of your house and the trees outside. It is all the same. It is constantly at flow, changing form all the time. This is a very simple explanation of a rather complex thing."

Everything in this universe is made up of the same stuff. It is just present in different forms and shapes.

In his great book, The Divine Matrix, Gregg Braden starts off one of his chapter saying:

There is a place where all things begin, a location of pure energy that simply "is".

So are we then all part of One-Energy? And can this be dated back to the explosion of the Big Bang? Was all matter entangled at the time of the explosion? Is this where we came from?

Max Planck ( 1858 - 1947 - physicist), who is considered to be the founder of quantum theory, and one of the most important physicists of the twentieth century, did extensive research into field of energy and he is the father of the expression called the "Planck Scale". The Planck scale corresponds to incredibly small distances (or equivalently, incredibly large energies) and some scientists believe that at this very low level we find vibrations - invisible connections - "stuff popping".It is believed to be unimaginably 'hot' and energetic.

Do we live in an electrical universe - a lighting universe? Not a universe based on gravity?

The theory of "an electrical universe" is amongst other put forward by David Talbott and Wallace Thornhill.

In the this great extract from the movie "The Thunderbolts of the Gods" based on their work they explain how this might be true.

Science is trying to understand what is really at this Planck Scale level and some say that this invisible connection is consciousness, a universal consciousness which we are all part of. Science want to solve this mystery and understand it all, but according to Max Planck this will not be possible.

"Science cannot solve the ultimate mystery of nature. And that is because, in the last analysis, we ourselves are... part of the mystery that we are trying to solve"

We cannot be an observer isolating us from the universe in our analysis of it all - simple because we are part of it all.

The observer effect

In Quantum Theory there is a notion that there is no phenomenon until it is observed. This effect is known as the 'Observer Effect'. If this is true, it means that before anything can manifest in the physical universe it must first be observed. The observation cannot occur without the pre-existence of some sort of consciousness or awareness to do the observing. This implies that the physical Universe is the direct result of our consciousness or awareness.

The Copenhagen Interpretation

This interpretation is based on the work of physicist Niels Bohr and Wernes Heisenberg in 1927 at the Theoretical Physics in Copenhagen, Denmark. In other words they believed that the universe with all its atoms and electrons exists as an infinite number of overlapping possibilites. That there is no exact location of it since it can be in an infinite number of possible locations. It is not until someone observes it that the location is locked and it manifest itself.

The double slit experiment shown in the movie "What the bleep do we know" is trying to explain the Copenhagen Interpretation.

In addition to the Copenhagen Interpretation there are two other popular explanations for the behaviour of quantum particles. In his book, The Divine Matrix, Gregg Braden talks about the Copenhagen Interpretation as well as the other two - the other two being:The Many-Worlds Interpretation and The Penrose Interpretation

The Many-Worlds Interpretation

This explanation talks about parallel universes. As Braden explains: "this theory suggest that at any given moment in time, there are an infinite number of possibilities occurring, and that all of them already exist and are happening simultaneously. Each possibility happens in its own space and can't be seen by others. The unique spaces are called alternate universes. Similar to observers in the Copenhagen Interpretation, we only see the possibility we focus on. And that's the key to locking that particular possibility into place as "reality"."

The Penrose Interpretation

This theory also talks about many possibilities existing at the quantum level. However, as Gregg Braden explains "the theory differs as to what it is that "locks" one particular possibility into our reality. Because all matter creates gravity, each of the possibilities has its own gravitational field. It takes energy to maintain this, and the more energy a probability requires, the more unstable it really is. Because it's impossible to sustain enough to keep all of them going forever, eventually they collapse into a single state - the most stable one, which we see as our "reality"."

So which one of these 3 theories makes most sense?

Gregg Braden propose that "WE ARE the precise factor that's missing in these theories! Specifically, it's our ability to purposefully create the conditions of consciousness (thoughts, feelings, emotions, and beliefs) that lock one possibility of our choosing into the reality of our lives. And that is what brings science full circle with the world's ancient spiritual traditions. Both science and mysticism describe a force that connects everything together and gives us the power to influence how matter behaves - and reality itself - simply through they way we perceive the world around us."

The human body and cells

Our bodies have an electrical nature. If you shuffle your feet across a carpet and then touch something made of metal you get a small shock of electricity. Also, if you step on a piece of glass you will feel the pain immediately because it is electrically transmitted along the nerves to your brain. In our heart we have "electrical circuits"and we can measure the electrical activity by using a electrocardiograph (EKG).

The human body is made of tissue and organs and the tissue and organs are made up of trillions (millions of millions) of cells. No-one knows for sure how many there are. Each of these cells in our body contain a smaller substructures called organelles ("Little organs"), each of which performs a different task related to the purpose and function of the cell.

Blood cells have a different task than skin-cells which have a different task than the brain cells and so on, but they are all necessary to make the body work. In the anatomy of the cells we find many "little organs" like the Cell Membrane , the Nucleus, Cytoplasm, the Endoplasmic Reticulum, the Golgi bodies, the Mitochondrion to mention a few.

The Mitochondria are the "engine" of the cell. They are sausage shaped organelles that are the power sources for the cell. Mitochondria are sometimes described as "cellular power plants" because they generate most of the cell's supply of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), used as a source of chemical-energy.

So our human body is filled with cells containing energy. In addition each cell are made up of molecules and these molecules are made up of atoms with protons, neutrons and electrons. What are the atoms made of? Sub-atomic particles. And these sub-atomic particles are pure energy. Hence our body is one big piece of energy and so is everything else in this great universe.

Everything is energy

If we go below this level - to a subatomic level - scientists have shown us through quantum physics that everything at this level is pure energy. Hence humans are pure energy. Everything in this universe is made up of energy including ourselves. From a spiritual viewpoint we are deathless souls within a physical body - a particle of the Divine, of the Creator, The Source - God.

If all of our bodies are energy and everything around us is energy are we then connected with each other and everything around us? If this is the case we are entangled and everything you do - how you behave and how you think and feel will be vibrating into this field of energy - this sea of energy. Hence it is affecting everyone in it - either directly or indirectly.

If we take this one step further it would mean that the way you and I think and feel can change the world for the better. Our vibrating, positive energy can influence those around us.

David Cameron - in his book A Happy Pocket Full of Money - is referring to thoughts causing ripples in this sea of energy. A shift on one part of that massive field of energy ripples on and causes shifts in the parts next to it and they cause shifts in the parts next to them and that ripple goes on forever.

Furthermore he says:

Because you are part of that universe, the ripple comes back to you and give you back a doze of similar essence. You cause a change in the energy field around and in you, and it ripples, touching everything. And everything of course ripples back in reaction, sending it back to you, all multiplied.

This is the essence of the law of "Cause and Effect"

It is like a boomerang. What you send out comes back to you with a strengthen force.

If you are sending out positive and good vibrations, reflecting your true emotions and feelings, the "boomerang" will come back to you with positive events and positive "coincidences". The same goes for emotions and thoughts of anger and hate. The "boomerang" will catch up with you sooner or later and give you a negative experience or event.

• Watch your thoughts, they become words.
• Watch your words, they become actions.
• Watch your actions, they become habits.
• Watch your habits, they become your character.
• Watch your character, it becomes your destiny.

Every thought or action has an effect or consequence. The nature of that effect depends upon the nature of the cause. If the cause is "good", the effect will be "good". If the cause comes from negative thoughts or evil, the results will be equally negative or evil.

The Law of Cause and Effect states:

For every action there is equal and opposite reaction

Our thoughts, our words and they way we behave is a cause that sets off a wave of energy throughout the universe.

As part of this sea of energy we must realize that the way we think and feel is causing a ripple in this universal ocean and it effects everything around us. Our family, friends, people in our local community, people in our country and everyone in the WORLD.

In his book Rising out of Chaos Simon Peter Fuller also mention the Law of Cause and Effect.

"We are totally responsible for our every thought, word and deed while on Earth, and karma, both positive and negative, ensures that we rebalance all the energy or matter (so-called sin) we have ever disturbed".

The most potent form of energy is thought. Thought-waves are cosmic waves that penetrates all time and space.

Hence what we think has a great impact on everything in this universe. So just by committing to think and feel in a positive way will make a shift in the universe and our world will benefit.If everyone on earth starts to think,behave and feel positive we will make our world a place of peace.

Universal consciousness

With our consciousnesses we are all part of the universal consciousness - in one universal mind. Global consciousness will have an impact on our world - and we will be able to change it for the better if we just commit to it.

Scientist have been testing out the idea of global consciousness and its power for several years. They have been collecting data from a global network of random number generators since August, 1998. And this interesting project still going on is called the "the Global consciousness project" also referred to as the EGG Project.

The scientists behind the project are looking into the correlation between peoples intentions and emotions and the output on 65 random number generators placed around the world.

In other words the purpose is to examine subtle correlations that reflect the presence and activity of consciousness in the world. What happens when millions of us share intentions and emotions?

They have recorded correlations when global events occur like the funeral of Princess Diana and 9-11. Both these events made a profound impact on the random number generator outcome.

For 9-11 they actually got a significant reading BEFORE the event occurred indicating that we - the people around the world - collectively KNEW that this was going to happen somehow.

Our collective consciousness will actually have an influence on the outcome of these random number generators. This is implying that the way we think and feel is really important since it will start a chain of reaction - a ripple in this "universal ocean of energy" which we are all part of.
