Is intuition the voice of our soul and not the voice of our mind? Is it that inner feeling you get before you start judging right or wrong?
Is it the instrument given to you in order to maneuver yourself according to your plan - to your manuscript. That which was decided before you were born - before you came here - as a plausible scenario or actions throughout your life?
I do believe that our intuitive feeling is THE key factor to understand who we are and why we are living on this Earth. If we do reincarnate with free will and we all do have a life purpose how would Creation make sure we would not get completly lost from the task at hand? The answer is our intuitive feeling. It knows the whole plan. You are the actor/actress choosing a part in the play. You choose the character, the props, the scene, the timeperiod and so on, but you do not know the whole play. You don't know the script, don't know your lines and how you are suppose to act. This is because of free will. We need to forget when we start out our play in order to let the element of the unknown be part of it all. Only then can universal consciousness truly experience itself through all of us. The backup plan to where we come from and what we are doing here is hidden within our intuitive feeling. When we get in touch with our heart and realize that love is the glue that holds everything together we understand why we came here and that will also lead to a leap in the evolution for the soul and in many cases end the game because the soul gets closure (clear out karma because going into the heart raises the vibrations and clears it out) and it can then move on beyond this 3D experience. This is why all indigenious people tell us to GO WITHIN - listen to our heart and our intuitive feeling.
According to the Oxford dictionary it is: the ability to understand or know something immediately, without conscious reasoning.
Wikipedia has this definition: Intuition is the ability to acquire knowledge without inference or the use of reason. "The word 'intuition' comes from the Latin word 'intueri', which is often roughly translated as meaning 'to look inside' or 'to contemplate'.
Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. Everything else is secondary - Steve Jobs
Follow your instinct. That's where true wisdom manifests itself - Oprah Winfrey
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has has forgotten the gift - Albert Einstein
Einstein also said this: The really valuable thing is intuition. The intellect has little to do on the road to discovery. There comes a leap in consciousness, call it intuition or what you will, and the solution comes to you and you don't know how or why.
The famous philosopher Baruch Spinoza, is quoted as saying: The best kind of knowledge is a purely intellectual intuition of the essences of things. This "third kind of knowledge", beyond both random experience and ratiocination, sees things not in their temporal dimension, not in their duration and in relation to other particular things, but under the aspect of eternity, that is, abstracted from all considerations of time and place and situated in their relationship to God and his attributes. They are apprehended, that is, in their conceptual and causal relationship to the universal essences (thought and extension) and the eternal laws of nature.
The book The Shift in Consciousness also talk about what this intuitive feeling is. Here is an excerpt:
..when people pray they are talking to God and when God talks to us it is through our intuition. What is often referred to as our sixth sense, our intuitive feeling, can be defined as the ability to immediately and inexplicably understand or know something. We often refer to our intuitive feeling as a gut feeling. "Trust your gut feeling", is a common expression. When we first experience or encounter something we get a feeling about it. It's that first impression we gain when meeting someone. Our intuitive feeling is an opportunity to draw on all our accumulated unconscious experiences. We therefore "know" more than we think we know. Gut feelings are a physical response to the subconscious mind weighing up all known factors and then making a decision. So are our gut feelings the Source speaking to us? Is this how communication with God takes places, as suggested by Neale Donald Walsch? Or is it just our subconscious mind helping us to make a better decision based on everything stored inside it?

In December 2011 the authors of the book The Shift in Consciousness, Lilli Bendriss & Camillo Loken, did a channeling session asking the energy beings the Council of Elders to tell us about our intuitive feeling. See the video here.
