Universal Laws

The universe is governed by many different universal laws such as the Law of Attraction, Law of Vibration, Law of Cause and Effect, Law of Forgiveness, Law of Sacrifice and many more.

The most known Law is the Law of Attraction. It became practically a household name due to the success of the The Secret (2006) - both the book and the movie. Millions of people worldwide started to read and learn about the Law of Attraction.

A new movie was released June 2009 called Beyond The Secret which also features other universal laws.

In this movie you will meet many of the worlds leading inspirational teachers.

Beyond The Secret features Emmy award-winner Les Brown, Bob Proctor, Marcia Wieder, Paul Martinelli and many other great motivational teachers, authors and visionaries on the topic of how you can get what you want in life by gaining a deeper understanding of the universe.

The demand for this movie has been very high and hence other universal laws have now gain more attention. This is important since there are many laws we need to be aware of and live in harmony with if we want to have a prosperous life.
In his great book "A Happy Pocket Full of Money" David Cameron share with us his views about these governing laws:

Everything in this universe runs under universal laws that never err even once. To be in the flow - to live in harmony with these laws - leads you to being all-round prosperous. Such harmony results in effortless well-being and prosperity, simply because you would be riding the currents that build and maintain all creation.

He goes on to say:

"a universal law is a bond that connects all experience so as to achieve total knowing.... and it is important to know that these laws do not punish you for breaking them; they cannot be broken. Suffering simply comes up when you try to ride against them"

But how many such cosmic laws are there?

Some claim there are 7, others say 12 or 20 or even more. Some are also talking about the 11 forgotten laws of the universe.

Searching the internet and the literature will provide you with many different numbers as to how many universal laws there are, but no-one can for sure say how many there are.

7 laws

According to The Kybalion: Hermetic Philosophy, which is a book published in 1912 claiming to be the essence of the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus, there are 7 laws of the universe.

• The Principle of Vibration
• The Principle of Polarity
• The Principle of Rhythm
• The Principle of Cause and Effect
• The Principle of Gender

12 laws

In their book The Light Shall Set You Free (1998) Drs. Milanovich and McCune state there are 12 Universal Laws and 21 sub-laws

• The Law of Vibration
• The Law of Action
• The Law of Correspondence
• The Law of Cause and Effect
• The Law of Compensation
• The Law of Attraction
• The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
• The Law of Relativity
• The Law of Polarity
• The Law of Rhythm
• The Law of Gender

In addition to these 12 laws there are 21 sub-laws of the Universe. They are said to be governed by the Higher Self and are human characteristics that relate to the Laws of the Universe.
These characteristics are: Aspiration to A Higher Power, Charity, Compassion, Courage, Dedication, Faith, Forgiveness, Generosity, Grace, Honesty, Hope, Joy, Kindness, Leadership, Noninterference, Patience, Praise, Responsibility, Self-Love, Thankfulness, and Unconditional Love. The 11 forgotten Laws
